Sanicle - Sanicula europaea
Short to medium hairless plant. Leaves are shiny green, palmately lobed with three to five wedge shaped toothed lobes, teeth ending in a short bristle. Flowers are pinkish or greenish white, borne in tight, uneven umbels, bracts are small and linear.

Perennial.
Widespread, but often local, found in most of Britain except eastern England and the north of Scotland.
Local in Leicestershire and Rutland. In the Flora of Leicestershire (Primavesi and Evans 1988) it was found in 71 of the 617 tetrads, and in 24 tetrads in the Flora of Rutland (Messenger 1971).
