Description

Cap up to 6 cm. This orange brown (sometimes pinkish or cinnamon) cap changes colour depending on whether it is wet or dry, and often appears scurfy. It has thick and almost waxy, flesh-coloured gills. The stipe is the same colour as the cap and is usually curved or twisted and fibrous.

Found in scattered troops in wooded areas, and on heaths often in poor soil.

Can be found from spring until autumn
