Agallia consobrina
Length 3.5 to 4 mm. A. consobrina is relatively easily recognised. It has a shagreened pronotum (with bobbles on), rather than being striolate, and the black triangles at the base of the scutellum are separated from the sides. The dark veins are particularly prominent towards the tips of the forewings, and some of the cells in the centres of the forewings are dark-edged.
Can be identified by external features at 5-10X magnification.

Among low plants.
February to November.
Widespread and fairly frequent in much of Britain, reaching at least as far north as Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Status in Leicestershire and Rutland not known.
