Ribautiana tenerrima sensu lato

Description

Length 3 to 3.5 mm. It can be separated from other Ribautiana species by the oblique white lines along the corial-claval suture, although these may not be well-defined. The vertex is clearly narrower than the pronotum. The darkening at the end of the forewings is typically quite distinct, with three clear dark dots on the wing margin.

Habitat

On brambles and a variety of other plants. 

When to see it

Adult: June to December.

One of the most common cicadellids abundant throughout the UK, with the exception of northern Scotland.

VC55 Status

Common in Leicestershire and Rutland.
