Lit & Phil Natural History Section - Don't Stop the Rot - Steven Falk

This talk will discuss and celebrate the importance of old trees and dead wood for invertebrates such as rare and unusual beetles and flies, and how to protect and promote these. Steven Falk is a freelance ecologist and photographer specialising in invertebrate conservation (especially pollinators) and trees. His 40 year career path has seen him work for the Nature Conservancy Council, two museum services (acting as Coventry's first City Ecologist at one), Warwickshire Wildlife Trust and Buglife. He recently produced a seminal Woodland Trust report on the pollinators associated with dead wood and old trees. Join us online from 7pm for 7.30 - refreshments served from 7pm! 

The Natural History Section is a registered charity with the aim of encouraging greater appreciation, understanding and enjoyment of natural history, particularly in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (VC55).
