Black Milking Bonnet - Mycena galopus

Description

Like all the bonnet mushrooms, this has a delicate look with thin stem and a cap just 1-2cm across. The cap is typically pale beige often with a darker centre. The stem exudes white latex if broken. The gills are adnate and near white. The variety 'nigra' has a dark brown, almost black, cap and stem.
