Cheumatopsyche lepida

Description

Forewing length 5 to 8 mm. The wing resembles that of Hydropsyche species, but may be less spotted and more streaked.

Usually associated with rivers.

When to see it

June to September.

UK Status

Widespread but quite local in Britain, it is uncommon in East Anglia.

VC55 Status

Uncommon in Leicestershire and Rutland the Sapcote record of 2013 is only the second for our area, the first being from Groby in 2010.
