Puccinia albescens

The rust fungus Puccinia albescens affects Moschatel (Adoxa moschatellina) it is host specific, there is no host alternation. The Spermogonia and aecia are scattered all over the plant, ("cluster cups – white edged and yellow centres"). The plant can become quite strongly disfigured as a result, although upper leaf surfaces show little sign of the fungal infection.
