Shaggy Scalycap - Pholiota squarrosa


    The cap is convex when young becoming flattened to about 10 cm across, covered with coarse dark yellowy brown scales giving an overall shaggy appearance. Stem also coarsely scaly.

    Clustered at the base of trees sometimes in woods.
