Hi I would like some help identifying which species of ruby-tailed wasp I found on the Pembrokeshire coast path (nr Marloes Sands). I apologise if this is the wrong place to post as the insects are out of your area, but your website was the only one I could find with photos of the different UK species of this beautiful wasp. I've attached some photos and have more if necessary to look for a particular feature. The wasps were observed on the coast path near a bank of bare earth, where they were entering nests of other wasp / bee species. They were also feeding on nearby flowers.

Many thanks in advance

What beautiful creatures!

There is a link to an online key on this page.  It looks pretty technical but your photos are superb so I hope you can make some progress.
