Length without rostrum 4 mm.
Most likely to be found in areas where Birch saplings are present.
All year round peaking July to September.
Associated with Birch, but especially young saplings.
Infrequent in Britain.
Uncommon in Leicestershire and Rutland. There were only 4 VC55 records for this species up to March 2015.
