Dicyphus globulifer
This is small (3 to 4 mm) bug which varies from a pale brown to light chestnut brown. Members of this genus can be difficult to identify using structural features, but general coloration and host plant are often informative. D. globulifer is always fully-winged. The short legs spines do not arise from black spots and the antennae are entirely black. The scutellum has pale sides.
Detailed examination of the specimen is needed to identify the species.
This species is found on red and white campion.
All year round.
Widespread and fairly frequent in Britain.
Occasional in Leicestershire and Rutland.
