Illosporiopsis christiansenii
This lichenicolous fungus (a fungus which is a parasite on lichens) is readily seen due to its red colour. It is parasitic on Physcia tenella and sometimes also on Xanthoria parietina.
Anywhere that the host lichens are found.
Seems to be widespread and fairly frequent in Britain.
Fairly common in Leicestershire and Rutland.
