Similar in general appearance to F. excelsior but with brown hairy buds and sprays of creamy white flowers.
Roadside tree, possibly planted, but no planting records now exist.

Deciduous.
Occasional in Britain with just a few scattered records mainly from England and Wales.
First Leicestershire and Rutland record (presumably planted and probably overlooked elsewhere).
