White Spindles - Clavaria fragilis
Worm-like and upright, this white, spindle shaped fungus grows in clusters reaching up to 10cm. Each spindle can be straight or bent and usually has a blunt tip, though forked tips arise occasionally.
Grassland and sometimes in woodland
Autumn
Grows in groups or clumps
Widespread but not particularly common in Britain.
Occasional in Leicestershire and Rutland.
